Purpose
Our KYC policy is designed to:
- Verify the identity of all clients
- Understand the nature and purpose of client engagements
- Assess and manage financial crime and reputational risks
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those under the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA)
Client Identification & Verification
Before entering any engagement, Caridex:
- Verifies client identity using reliable and independent sources
- Confirms beneficial ownership for entities
- Obtains sufficient information to understand the client’s business activities.
Risk-Based Approach
We apply a risk-based approach to client acceptance and retention, considering:
- Nature of the client’s business
- Ownership structure
- Geographic exposure
- Source of funds and wealth (where applicable)
Ongoing Monitoring
Client relationships are subject to periodic review to ensure that information remains current and that engagements remain consistent with our risk tolerance.
Refusal or Termination of Engagements
Caridex reserves the right to decline or terminate engagements where:
- Required information is not provided
- Risks cannot be adequately mitigated
- Activities appear inconsistent with legal or ethical standards
Confidentiality
All client information obtained through KYC procedures is handled with strict confidentiality and used solely for compliance and professional purposes.
